Hela Baer
I’m an integrative therapist specializing in trauma-informed, relational therapy that integrates mindfulness, somatics, nature, and horses. I work primarily with teens and adults who want to alleviate sypmtoms associated with trauma, loss/grief, anxiety, depression, and a dysregulated nervous system (like being stuck in a fight or flight response). I work with people from many walks of life, with a particular focus on individuals with intercultural, LGBTQIA+, and/or neurodivergent identities. Based on your goals, our sessions will likely incorporate practices to gain insight through self-exploration, strengthen mindbody awareness and integration, increase capacity to sit with emotions and discomfort, and support compassionate change. My approach is LGBTQIA+ celebratory and neurodivergent-affirming, and I pay special attention to the way that trauma shows up in our bodies, relationships, and daily experiences. Together, we’ll create a therapeutic path that offers the support you need as you move through both the challenging and delighting moments of your life.
