We all have the capacity, and the right, to feel confident in ourselves, secure in relationships, and fulfilled in our lives. This belief is central to the work I do with individuals, couples and families. Together, we will build the foundation necessary for healing and growth by gaining a deeper understanding of your environments and systems, exploring your strengths and challenges, and critically examine your internal narratives. With the understanding that talking may not always come easily, I will follow your lead as we explore other forms of expression such as drawing, writing, or movement. I am here to assist you in your way of processing, exploring, and, ultimately, healing. As a Black, queer, immigrant woman, I understand what it is like to be in an environment where mental health is not taken seriously; thus, I approach therapy with an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and trauma-informed lens. I am dedicated to helping you understand the difficulties you face, identify solutions that work for you, and empower you to overcome challenges so that you can achieve successes in your life and relationships. As a licensed therapist trained at Ackerman Institute for the Family, I aim to create a collaborative space that fosters opportunity for healing centered on your lived experience.
