Dr. Alex Chaney approaches dentistry with the mindset of an engineer. With a background in mechanical engineering and advanced post-graduate training, they bring a thoughtful, analytical approach to every case, seeing challenges as opportunities to collaborate with patients and design solutions that honor functional, aesthetic, and financial realities. Alex is deeply committed to minimally invasive, ethical dentistry. Their philosophy is simple: all the dentistry you need and want — that’s it. They focus on preserving teeth whenever possible, carefully evaluating whether treatment is necessary, beneficial, and truly in the patient’s best interest. Through a co-diagnostic approach rooted in education and transparency, Alex ensures patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions. Their broad clinical skill set also allows many patients to complete complex care in one place, without expensive and unnecessary referrals. Above all, Alex understands that walking through the door is often the hardest step. They create a calm, judgment-free environment where fear and shame are replaced with clarity, respect, and trust. Dr. Chaney earned their dental degree from the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry and has completed extensive post-graduate training in restorative and functional dentistry, including implants, occlusion, endodontics, extractions, soft tissue grafting, and migraine treatment. Outside the office, Alex enjoys time with their wife and young daughter, and tending to their bonsai trees.
