Alexis Dieter

I am a board-certified Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon (aka Urogynecologist) and OBGYN who cares for patients with pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. I work in collaboration with other MedStar Health partners in Urology to provide perioperative care for patients undergoing gender affirming surgery. My specific role typically involves performing vaginectomy procedures to remove the anatomic vagina. I am also a clinical researcher and through research I work to help ensure that we can provide high quality evidence-based care to all patients.
