Alhasan Ghazzawi
As a dedicated board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult psychiatry, I am committed to providing care that addresses the multifaceted aspects of my patients' well-being. I offer an integrated approach that recognizes the interplay between social, psychological, and biological factors in shaping mental health. I began my psychiatry career at Maimonides Medical Center, serving as chief resident and pursued a post-doc training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at NYU's Psychoanalytical Association of New York. Following this, I completed my public psychiatry fellowship at Columbia University. Specializing in LGBTQ mental health, I draw from research experience in this field and also clinical experience as the founder and former director of the LGBTQ mental health clinic at Maimonides. Additionally, I offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, which can facilitate profound healing experiences. Guided by empathy, curiosity, and cultural sensitivity, I collaborate with my patients to prioritize their mental health and empower them to lead more fulfilling lives. I invite you to connect with me by phone or email to explore how I can be of assistance. Please note that completion of this consultation does not guarantee future treatment.
