Amanda Fields
I believe that everyone should have access to quality, culturally competent mental health care. I am currently a therapist in private practice and crisis counselor in community mental health. I serve clients from varied social and ethnic backgrounds, including LGBTQ2IA+ and BIPOC and provide neurodivergent-affirming care. While I serve in a professional healthcare capacity, my work is heart-centered. My journey towards becoming a therapist began as a call to help ease the suffering in the world and it is in that spirit that I arrive in session with clients. I seek justice and repair for marginalized communities and envision a world where each human being can live freely without fear of violence or harm and our planet is protected from further exploitation and destruction. "f you have come to help me you are wasting your time. If you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together." -Aboriginal activists group Queensland, 1970s
