Amanda Lebright
I am an urgent care PA working out of Newark Urgent Care in Newark, DE. I work alongside many other providers (physicians, PAs, and NPs), we do not have a set schedule, but if you would like to see me for any urgent/acute issues you can always call the practice and ask if I will be on staff that day. I have recently begun training sessions with front desk, nursing staff, providers, etc. to ensure that all staff is culturally competent in the care of LGBTQIA+ patients. We recently updated our intake process so when patients enter the clinic they are given a form to complete that includes sections for chosen name and pronouns. Some of the common conditions seen at the clinic include abdominal pain, musculoskeletal pain, STI screenings (not including HIV, syphilis, or hepatitis), dermatological conditions, and more. Since it is an urgent care setting, we are not equipped to deal with all medical conditions or management of chronic conditions. It may be recommended that you proceed to a hospital based emergency room or following up with a primary care provider based on the diagnosis at the time you are seen. We do offer resources on affirming providers in the area and our staff will do everything they can to ensure that the providers you are referred to are affirming and their office is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ patients of all backgrounds.
