Amber Carroll
Amber Carroll, LCSW holds a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. As a social worker with training in trauma-focused care and Liberation Health, Amber is dedicated to compassionate care and building powerful self-work while acknowledging and working to address the systems of oppression around us. Outside of formal higher education, Amber has over 10 years of experience in learning Nonviolent Communication and sharing their learning with others as an empathy coach, assistant trainer, and trainer, as well as certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and The Body Project. Amber’s living experience as a fat, queer person informs their approach to therapeutic work in every capacity. Amber brings to the practice a specialization in identity exploration and relationship dynamics, especially with queer and/or polyamorous individuals, as well as working with small groups or pairs with intimate connections, including polycules, friends, families, and roommates.
