Amira Akacha
Hi, I’m Amira Akacha! I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep passion for helping people create positive change in their lives. My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to be your best self. A little about me: I’ve had the privilege of living in Qatar for 15 years, where I grew up and immersed myself in a rich, diverse culture. Being surrounded by such diversity has shaped how I connect with and understand people from all walks of life. Outside of my work, I love spending quality time with my spouse and fur babies, watching some good old trash TV (don’t judge!), and snacking away. I’m also into crocheting, coloring, and reading—just some relaxing hobbies to help me unwind after a long day. I specialize in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Talk Therapy—each tailored to meet your unique needs. Whether you're struggling with significant mental health challenges or dealing with the everyday stresses of life, I’m here to help you process those challenges and create meaningful change. I work with a wide range of individuals, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, ethnically diverse populations, children and adolescents (ages 5 and up), and adults of all ages. I support people with a history of trauma, those dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, chronic stress, burnout, and those seeking personal growth or self-esteem building. I'm here to help you navigate life’s ups and downs with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
