I recently started my own solo/community telehealth genetic counseling practice for adult patients and their families. I help clients & patients understand and navigate their genetic testing options and support their values and goals. I also draw on my background as a medical librarian in addition to my genetic counseling experience to provide education on the genetic aspects of disease and to be a resource to patients and their families. I work with adults who have questions about the intersection of their personal and family health histories and genetics, exploring client values, clinical/diagnostic goals, and family dynamics. From hereditary cancer risk to pharmacogenetic testing to rare disease genetic testing to carrier screening for family planning and beyond, my goal is to increase access to genetic counseling.
