Amy Lucas
I am a second-year Resident in Counseling currently working towards licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University. As an experienced and compassionate mental health professional, I am passionate about providing inclusive, affirming, and effective mental health support for individuals (age 8+), couples, and families. My approach to therapy is grounded in collaboration, empathy, and respect and incorporates different trauma informed practices and counseling modalities. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals. Together, we’ll identify the strategies and tools that work best for your unique needs and create a path forward toward healing and personal growth. Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions, I’m here to provide you with support and guidance as you navigate a range of emotional, psychological, and relational challenges. My specialities and focus areas include adolescent and teen issues, attachment and relationship dynamics, non-monogamous relationship therapy, family conflict and transitions, LGBTQ+, non-christian based marriage and premarital counseling, self-harm and suicidal ideation, trauma and PTSD and veterans/military & first responder mental health. I bring a diverse counseling background in community mental health, outpatient counseling and crisis intervention. I pride myself on being an advocate for mental health and providing care that is as diverse and unique as the individuals I serve. Please know, I have a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to begin therapy and it is an honor and privilege to walk alongside you. I believe that therapy is a deeply personal and transformative experience, and I approach every client with warmth, empathy, and respect for their unique journey. My goal is to create an open, non-judgmental environment where you can explore, heal, and grow. If you're ready to take the first step, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore your challenges, celebrate your strengths, and work toward achieving the changes you seek
