Andi Frye
I am a licensed social worker who is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care to diverse populations. I challenge clients to consider new perspectives that encourage introspection and promote personal growth. It is important that I meet my clients with an outlook of empathy, curiosity, and cultural competence, while cultivating an atmosphere of advocacy, collaboration, and empowerment. I see teens and adults for individual therapy sessions virtually. My approach is eclectic and holistic. Treatment methods are personalized to the individual and involve strengths-based, trauma-informed interventions, which gravitate toward elements of positive psychology and mindfulness. I am also a huge proponent of incorporating movement and nature into therapy to enhance the connection between the mind and body and our environment. My intention is to motivate you to achieve your goals and support you in discovering and loving your authentic self. Topics we may explore together: • Anxiety • Depression • Trauma • Suicidal Ideation • Grief • Addiction • Impacts of brain injury or cognitive impairment • Gender and/or Sexual Identity • Life Transitions • Social Justice • Mental Health Disorders • Interpersonal Relations • Self-actualization Specialized certifications and experience include: • Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician • Certified Addictions Technician • Clinical Trauma Professional • Advanced Crisis Negotiator / Barricaded Subject and Hostage Negotiator • Crisis Intervention Team Coach • Behavioral Assessment and Comprehensive Assessment • Suicide and Homicide Risk Assessment and Management • LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Behavioral Healthcare Provider • Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist • Certified Veteran and Military Mental Health Professional • Instructor for LEO Academy, In-service Training, and Continuing Education Some therapeutic frameworks that influence my style of practice include dialectical behavioral therapy, existential humanistic theory, psychodynamics, intersectionality, somatic experiential/polyvagal theory, and brief solution-focused therapy.
