Ari Dorshkind
I work with individuals on a range of issues, including identity exploration, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ topics, self-esteem issues, trauma, ADHD, autism, and executive functioning issues. I have experience working with people from various cultural, racial, and economic backgrounds, using an integrative, multicultural, person-centered approach to therapy. As a queer, transgender, multiethnic clinician, I bring a personal and specialized approach to working with trans and gender non-conforming clients, BIPOC folks, as well as individuals who are seeking support in finding a sense of identity, purpose, and/or motivation. I believe creativity is an innate part of being human. I love empowering clients to unlock their creativity as a tool for exploration and processing. In my own life, I tend towards analogical thinking, often using analogies to understand and explain concepts that would otherwise feel out of reach. I love challenging perspectives and find that collaboratively exploring what therapy can be provides clients with the scaffolding they need to build a transformative experience.
