Ariel Cohen

I am a fellowship-trained pediatric and adolescent gynecologist with board certification in obstetrics and gynecology. Gynecologic concerns of young people (birth to age 21) are not uncommon, and may range from irregular menstruation to congenital anomalies if the reproductive tract. My expertise is in medical and surgical care for young people with gynecologic concerns, and I have a special interest/experience in caring gender diverse youth and youth with differences in sex development (also known as intersex). Medically, I am experienced in puberty blockers and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Surgically, I perform gender-affirming hysterectomies for patients meeting WPATH criteria. I will begin seeing patients with Mid-Atlantic Permanente in late September 2022.
