Arunima Kohli
I work at a community clinic that is part of a network of clinics that aims to serve underinsured/uninsured people, where I have both a primary care practice and lead the Gender Clinic for the clinic network. In Gender Clinic, we see people of all ages (including children) and their families, and provide medical treatment consistent with embodiment goals (hormones, referral to surgeries), connection to mental health services, connection to community resources, and other needed aspects of gender care. I also have a small panel of Intersex patients and a larger panel of LGBQIA+ patients (if I have any 2S patients, they haven’t told me). The specific clinic where I work and where Gender Clinic is housed also has a strong commitment to the Latinx community, with nearly all staff in the clinic bilingual English/Spanish speakers and bicultural/multicultural. I see patients in person and via remote visit, with a preference for initial visits and under-18 visits to be in person.
