Ashley Smith
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've spent years feeling like you had to hide parts of yourself or constantly worry about what others think. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are. I provide virtual therapy for LGBTQIA+ adults throughout Florida and South Carolina, with a focus on relationship anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, boundaries, identity exploration, and self-trust. During your first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring your goals at a pace that feels comfortable. You won't be expected to have everything figured out before we begin. My approach is personalized and integrates Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and nervous system regulation to help create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we'll work to better understand the patterns keeping you stuck while building practical skills to help you feel more confident, authentic, and emotionally secure. I believe therapy should be a place where LGBTQIA+ individuals don't have to explain or defend who they are. Instead, it should be a space where healing, growth, and genuine self-acceptance can happen.
