Bailey Amis
I integrate a psychodynamic, client-centered approach with a focus on discovering your strengths. I believe that by partnering with my clients to identify their goals, barriers, and patterns we can work together toward growth and a more fulfilled life. I work with clients from all backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community, who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, low self esteem, and body image issues. I also work with clients who have experienced strict religious communities or religious trauma. As a queer person myself, I do my best to create a truly inclusive environment. I offer both virtual and in-person appointments! I believe that past experiences can impact current life challenges and identifying patterns of behavior can be helpful for growth. I integrate mind and body work, EMDR, and ERP therapy modalities. In addition to individual therapy, I also offer assessment and WPATH letter writing for gender affirming surgeries. Reaching out can be scary and opening up can be tough, but we can take it one step at a time and go at a pace you're comfortable with to help you continue on your journey with more confidence, coping skills, and support.
