Becky Hellwig

I’m Becky, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, and the owner of Phoenix Rising Therapy Services. I specialize in working with adults navigating complex trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, dissociation, identity, relationships, and emotional dysregulation. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I believe therapy should be a place where you don’t have to explain, defend, or minimize who you are. I welcome clients across the spectrum of sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures, and I strive to provide care that recognizes the impact of trauma, stigma, family dynamics, and the systems we live within. My approach is collaborative, direct, and deeply trauma-informed. Depending on your needs, our work may incorporate DBT, EMDR, somatic approaches, parts work, journaling, and other experiential methods. I work especially well with people whose experiences are complex, who haven’t felt fully understood in traditional therapy, or who need more than “just talk about it.” Above all, I want therapy to be a space where you can show up as your whole self—and where we can do meaningful work without losing sight of your humanity, autonomy, and strengths.
