Brent Arnspiger
With over 25 years of specialized experience, I offer compassionate, affirming psychotherapy to help you reconnect with your inner strength, process trauma, and move toward a life that reflects your true self. Many clients share a sense of relief knowing they don’t need to explain or justify their identity - you can simply focus on your healing and growth. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, I understand the unique challenges you may face - whether that includes navigating family dynamics, workplace discrimination, minority stress, or the ongoing journey of authentic self-expression. I specialize in supporting you with navigating anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, relationship concerns, gender identity, coming out, gender affirming treatment letters, family rejection, and significant life transitions. Whether you're exploring identity, processing religious trauma, navigating polyamory, confronting internalized shame, or seeking a space to thrive authentically, you are welcome here. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience within LGBTQIA+ the community. I understand how intersecting identities and systemic oppression can impact mental health. This is a space of respect and collaboration, where you’ll find understanding, validation, and evidence-based tools to support your journey wherever it leads. My practice is rooted in deep respect for the full complexity of who you are. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ affirming care and strive to create a space where queer, trans, and nonbinary clients feel seen, supported, and understood - without needing to educate or explain their identity. I also welcome anyone seeking support with relationships, mental health, or simply navigating life in a complex and often overwhelming world. An important component of my gender-affirming therapy includes providing support letters for gender-affirming medical procedures and surgeries. As a licensed mental health professional, I provide documentation that meets the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care requirements, which many surgeons and medical providers require before performing gender-affirming procedures. Insurance companies will require such a letter. These letters typically document my client's gender identity, the duration of our therapy work together, their readiness for medical intervention, and my professional recommendation. My process involves thorough assessment and an ongoing therapeutic relationship to ensure my clients are well-prepared and supported throughout their transition journey.
