Britt Boylan
Every person is different, which is why I utilize a holistic approach to find the best fit for each client’s specific needs. I often work with neurodivergent individuals (autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, C-PTSD), 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, and those looking to integrate their intersectional identities within the context of their environment. Working with me is often an experiential process that involves active transformation of the therapeutic space. This can include meditation, parts work, Gestalt experiments, and other creative experiences that we cultivate together. These are possible only with the cultivation of a safe container, which is why I work through a relational framework. While experiential activities are a part of working with me, relationship building in sessions are just as important. This means conversations about a book you’re reading, your favorite movie, or hobbies you enjoy are always a welcome part of our work together. I utilize approaches that are relationally driven and lean into the power of the therapeutic relationship. Every healing journey is unique, which is why I have a holistic mindset that mainly pulls from Gestalt, Mindfulness-Based, and Transpersonal approaches. I work to cultivate a collaborative, open environment that invites the client to show up as their whole, authentic self as I show up as my whole, authentic self. I am a queer, non-binary, late-discovered autistic person who believes in the safety that sharing some of their social identities can bring to the therapeutic space. I encourage my clients to ask questions throughout our work together as informed consent is vital to feeling a sense of safety in therapy. We are inseparable from our environment and how that environment affects us matters, which is why I work through an anti-oppressive, systemic lens. By exploring the interplay of systemic and individual issues, we are able to empower and propel ourselves along our unique paths to healing, growth, and transformation. I am supervised in CO by Dr. Robyn Flores, Ph.D., LMFT-S, LPC, NCC, ACS & in NV by Louise Sutherland-Hoyt, CPC & Dr. Sarah Barr, Ph.D., CPC
