Currently I am a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who works at the University of Virginia. I specialize in hand and wrist surgery and general plastic reconstruction. I also work with transgender patients who seek chest masculinization and phalloplasty in conjunction with my partner Dr. JT Stranix. Often patients first meet one of our APPs during their first visit to plastic surgery clinic. You will also meet our nurse coordinators. Once we submit your surgery for insurance coverage, and find a date for procedure, you will meet me about one month prior to your surgery. We will review the surgical plan and what to expect post-operatively. We strongly encourage you to come with questions and to let us know what type of treatment option you are seeking. I prefer to collaborate with my patients and hope we can build a strong partnership together.
