Callista Cox
Therapy for queer, disabled, trans, & grieving folks. My approach is relational, systemic, identity-affirming trauma treatment. Many of my clients are LGBTQIA2S+ or have experienced Traumatic Stress (CPTSD, PTSD, BPD, Panic disorder, Psychosis). I provide specific interventions including PE, NET, CBTp, DBT, ACT, Bowen Systems Family Theory, & Anti-Oppressive Attachment work. My clients have described me as down to earth, quick witted, and honest. I am guided by my values of congruence, joy, connection, safety, and comfort. I am a white, queer, nonbinary, nonreligious, dynamically disabled person with lived experience in mental health treatment (OCD, CPTSD, PTSD, & ADHD). As a provider, I believe in Health At Every Size & body neutrality. I provide gender and sexuality affirming care to LGBTQIA2S+ people of all ages. I am sex positive, poly/CNM aware, and kink aware. I understand that my positionality (white AFAB) has been a tool of harm to many clients & communities, especially BIPOC. I believe therapy is political & our identities should not be used against us. I am careful in documentation & navigation of social systems. Your perspective, current living situation, relationships with others, and your thoughts on life will all inform our work together in building the life you find worth living.
