Carmen Mendez

I have been an oncology RN at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) for 20 years. I also am the LGBTQI+ Nurse Navigator and an active LGBTQ Ally. I am on the coordinating council of the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Network where I organize various educational and social events to promote inclusivity, equity, community, and engagement at MSK. It is vital to me to use my voice and actions to foster a culture of inclusion and respect in the workplace and community. As a nurse, being an advocate is crucial to my patient’s overall wellbeing.
