You’ve spent your whole life taking care of others and ignoring your own needs for the benefit of everyone around you. It feels like no one, maybe not even yourself, knows the real you. If you truly let someone in, what if they look at you completely different? You are terrified people will reject you and see you as a burden if you are no longer the "strong one." The fears creep in each time you think about breaking down the wall you've carefully crafted to keep others from getting too close. But you’re tired of feeling so alone.
