Cheyene Horner
I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) at DBT Institute of Michigan. I've completed my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Cleveland State University, in which I focused primarily on borderline personality disorder and substance use disorders. Currently, my practice focuses on adherent Dialectical Behavior Therapy in both adolescent (13-17) and adult (18+) populations. Additionally, I focus on DBT - Prolonged Exposure to treat post-traumatic stress disorder and to help individuals recover from traumatic invalidation. My passion is working with folks who struggle with interpersonal relationships and emotion dysregulation due to trauma. I integrate the knowledge gleaned from my research into my clinical practice, especially with a respect to mindfulness of the body. I believe in working holistically on the mind and body to achieve wellness. I'm a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and a strong human rights advocate.
