Christine Crawford

Dr. Christine M. Crawford is a Boston child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist whose work bridges academic psychiatry, community mental health, and public education. She serves as Associate Medical Director at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and previously as Vice Chair of Education and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she also directed medical student education. At Boston Medical Center, she provides outpatient care in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic and Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis (WRAP) program and has led school-based mental health care as Medical Director for the Boston Public Health Commission’s clinician program in Boston Public Schools. A nationally recognized educator and media commentator on youth mental health, Dr. Crawford is the author of You Are Not Alone: The NAMI Guide to Navigating Your Child’s Mental Health, a resource for parents and caregivers navigating complex symptoms, stigma, and systems of care. Dr. Crawford is a media expert and often appears on television to include the Today Show.
