At Brazen Therapy, I aim to create a space where people can show up fully as themselves without feeling like they have to shrink, code-switch, mask, or explain their identity to be understood. My practice is rooted in affirming, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care, and I work with adults, couples, and families navigating things like anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship issues, burnout, neurodivergence, and life transitions. I have a particular passion for working with LGBTQIA+ clients, BIPOC clients, queer relationships, and people who have historically felt unseen or misunderstood in healthcare spaces. During a first visit, clients can expect a collaborative and conversational approach. I’m not someone who is going to sit silently and stare at you while you panic trying to figure out what to say. The first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brings you in, exploring your goals, and helping you feel safe enough to start building trust. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what support has or hasn’t looked like before, and what you’re hoping therapy can feel like moving forward. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. In addition to individual therapy, I also provide couples and relationship therapy, family therapy, trauma-focused work including EMDR, gender-affirming care support, and letters for gender-affirming medical care. My practice also offers lower-cost therapy options through supervised interns because accessibility and equity matter deeply to me. We provide both in-person sessions in Phoenix and telehealth across Arizona and Colorado. More than anything, I want clients to feel like therapy is a place where they can exhale. My goal is not to “fix” people, but to help them feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and the life they want to build.
