Colin DeMeritt

Dr. Colin DeMeritt is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). He received his MS and DNP from Columbia University, where he built expertise in medication management and therapeutic modalities. He also has additional training from Cornell University and Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. Dr. DeMeritt is passionate about providing culturally competent, goal-directed care and specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community. His clinic is handicapped accessible, and he generally offers services between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday. During your first visit, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where you will work together to identify your unique needs and goals. His approach is collaborative, focusing on your well-being while integrating evidence-based treatments that align with your values. He emphasizes open communication and believes that mental health care should be a partnership. Throughout his career, Dr. DeMeritt has presented at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association’s (APNA) NY Chapter and has received several accolades for his achievements.
