Darcy Rozen
I’m a queer, nonbinary, AuDHD therapist with lived experience of late diagnosis and a deep understanding of what it means to navigate a world that isn’t always built for neurodivergent people. I work with autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adolescents and adults, as well as LGBTQIA+ clients, who may be exploring identity, processing a late diagnosis, experiencing masking or autistic burnout, managing anxiety, or simply trying to create a life that feels more authentic and sustainable. My practice is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming care. I believe therapy shouldn't focus on "fixing" who you are—it should help you better understand yourself, reduce shame, honor your needs, and develop strategies that support the way your brain and body naturally work. Together, we'll identify practical accommodations, strengthen emotional and sensory regulation, and build on your existing strengths while making space for growth. I take a collaborative, flexible approach to therapy because I know your needs may change over time. I draw from evidence-based approaches while integrating art therapy, creative expression, and practical coping tools when they feel meaningful and supportive. Whether you prefer to process through conversation, creativity, or a combination of both, we'll find an approach that works for you. Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've spent years feeling misunderstood or like you've had to mask parts of yourself. My goal is to offer a space where you can show up as your full self without needing to explain or justify your identity. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin—we'll work together to better understand your experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are.My approach is collaborative, flexible, and neurodiversity-affirming. Therapy is tailored to your unique needs, which may change over time. I integrate art therapy when helpful alongside practical tools, emotional and sensory regulation strategies, and space for reflection to help you build insight, resilience, and lasting change. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and you don't have to have everything figured out to begin. I create a collaborative, flexible space that adapts to your needs as they change over time, offering support, practical tools, and creative approaches—including art therapy when helpful—to help you better understand yourself and move forward with confidence.
