Elby Buikema
I am a white, queer, trans/gender-expansive, neurodivergent, and disabled trauma survivor. My goal is to empower you to find more self-acceptance, compassion, curiosity, and trust for yourself and others, while surviving in unjust systems that often try to steal our joy and reject our humanity. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, chronically-ill and disabled people, using a collaborative, affirming, trauma-centered, and harm reductionist approach to care. You’re not broken, we live in an ableist world that can be disabling, isolating, and unkind. Let’s work together to identify your unique needs, engage your creativity to build individualized tools of support, and empower you to embrace yourself as you are! Only you can identify what is in alignment with who you are and want to become. I am here to help you explore what is possible and share in the joy of your healing journey. Together we can untangle the roots of shame and trauma that show up while you expand into your most authentic self, process complex emotions, and move towards greater connection/community support. You deserve a space of compassionate exploration and acceptance while expanding into your fullness. Let's grow together!
