Elisabeth Henriques
I’m a licensed professional counselor with 4 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. I have always enjoyed working with adolescents and families and focused my graduate work in this area. To share a bit of my career thus far, I’ve helped families in the foster care system achieve reunification, studied parent-child interaction to improve family relationships, counseled individuals through the social and emotional challenges that teenage and young adult years bring, and worked with couples to increase healthy communication. I’m experienced in working with children struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, family conflict, and life transitions and adjustments. My approach is always person-centered and collaborative, incorporating various therapeutic techniques based on the needs of each client. While I work with families of all backgrounds and identities, the majority of my experience has focused on the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe there is therapeutic value in shared experiences and as a queer-identifying therapist, I'm passionate about helping others in my community. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ and gender nonconforming adolescents.
