Ellis Mace
I’m Ellis Marie Rich Mace, an ANCC board-certified psychiatric mental-health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with fourteen years of healthcare experience. At my telepsychiatry practice, Mace Behavioral Health, my focus is convenient care that doesn’t compromise quality. My specializations include bipolar spectrum disorders, trauma disorders, LGBTQ+ affirming care, and the challenges experienced by queer individuals and healthcare workers. My integrative model is inclusive, empathetic, trauma-informed, and culturally competent. I treat your mental health with individualized assessment, planning, collaboration, and prescribing. I use extended appointment times and integrative interventions. --Extended appointment times – I offer both 50 minute and 25 minute appointment times to thoroughly discuss medications and treatment planning, and to discuss lifestyle interventions including sleep hygiene, nutrition, and exercise --Integrative Psychiatry Practices – Integrative psychiatry is a holistic, comprehensive treatment approach that utilizes psychiatric medications, complementary alternative medications, laboratory testing and interpretation, and life-style coaching --Psychotherapy services – including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) --Consulting services – including evaluations for surgical procedures, diagnostic second-opinions, gender-affirming care, and academic accommodations. In my free time, I enjoy traveling (nationally and internationally) and artistic hobbies such as decorating, drawing, writing, and theatre (backstage and onstage). I love spending quality time at home with my spouse, dog, and cat. I identify as queer and use pronouns she/her/hers.
