Florence Yuan

Dr. Florence Yuan graduated from family medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine in 2023. Her clinical interests include gender-affirming care and LGBTQ+ medicine, reproductive health, health communication, and lifestyle medicine. She has given presentations to both community members and medical trainees on topics such as trauma-informed care, pregnancy options counseling, and gender-affirming surgery. She is the associate program director of an elective course for fourth-year medical students at the University of California, Irvine on gender-affirming care. For her medical student and resident learners, she remains committed to providing education that affirms patients’ experiences and improves access to high-quality care for all patients, including those who are underserved and marginalized. She provides a variety of LGBTQ+ services including primary care and cancer screenings, hormone therapy, referral to resources, gender affirmation letters, contraception, prenatal care, STI testing/treatment, and PrEP/PEP.
