Gabriel Edwards
Gabriel’s approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), ERP, Polyvagal theory, and RODBT. Gabriel holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois and Texas. Previous to being a therapist, he has served as Associate Director for TransLife Care with Chicago House and worked at Lurie Children's Hospital to expand care across the country for trans youth and working in the ED to support those experiencing crisis. His clinical expertise spans working with families, emerging young adults, and individuals managing anxiety, depression, ADHD/ASD, and addiction. Gabriel is a compassionate and dedicated counselor who feels privileged to support individuals on their paths toward growth, healing, and self-discovery. With over a decade of experience in mental health care, Gabe provides a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients can navigate life’s challenges and uncover new insights. Beyond his professional life, he enjoys reading, hiking. Recently, he has been stepping out of his comfort zone by exploring new interests like re-learning the guitar.
