Ivy Gardner

Dr. Gardner is a colorectal surgeon at Sutter Medical Group. Dr. Gardner attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine where she was awarded the Contribution to Boston University Medical Campus Community Award for her contributions to LGBTQ+ medical education. Dr. Gardner did her general surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and then completed her fellowship in colorectal surgery at Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Associates at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Gardner’s clinical interests are broad. She is adept at minimally invasive surgical approaches, such as robotic surgery, for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and diverticulitis. She is also skilled at colonoscopy and is interested in treating all manner of anorectal disorders.
