Jacqueline Buchanan
I am curious and attuned to your inner experiences, while considering how the relational ecosystem in which you exist impacts you and how you impact this ecosystem. I offer individual, couple, and family therapy, each infused with psychodynamic and family systems principals. I provide trauma-informed therapy that prioritizes your feeling safe and you setting the pace of our work together. As a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, my diagnostic skills, medical training, and psychopharmacological expertise mean I am well-equipped for complexity, identifying key pieces of the puzzle, and medication management when indicated. At Webster Clinic, we specialize in working with LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and immigrant populations, often exploring questions of identity and intersectionality in the context of life transitions. I have particular expertise in working with LGBTQ+ parents, adults, couples, kids, and families. We also offer a LGBTQIA+ family building 5 session consultation for queer and trans intended parents to navigate personal histories, families of origin, culture, race, and relationship and family dynamics and create a decision-making framework. The core series has the option to expand into longer-term individual, couples, or family therapy, if desired.
