Jamil Sawaya

I’m an openly gay Family Physician with a special interest in Queer and Sexual Health and providing culturally competent and sexuality and gender affirming care to individuals from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as well as MSM and WSW individuals who don’t identify with any of the above acronyms. I help facilitate the transition process for Transgender individuals and prescribe hormones if desired and safe (based on individual health parameters), as part of their transition. I’m also a sex positive Physician, who works with his patients to educate and provide harm reduction strategies. I’m a prescriber of PrEP for HIV prevention as well as Doxy PEP to help reduce the incidence of Syphilis and Chlamydia.
