Jared Boot-Haury

Jared (they/them) is a board-certified and licensed clinical psychologist in San Francisco specializing in LGBTQ+-affirmative care with extensive experience in helping clients navigate a variety of personal challenges. Currently working at Kaiser Permanente, Jared is dedicated to providing compassionate and affirmative psychological testing services to adults. Jared is actively involved in advancing LGBTQ+ health and equality as a board member and president of the APA’s Society for Clinical Psychology Early Career Professionals and Graduate Students Section, and previously as the VP of Policy and Government Affairs for GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality. They are also a certified member and mentor of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and a Certified Sex Therapist and Certified Sex Therapist Supervisor through AASECT, specializing in sex-positive, poly-friendly, and kink-aware care. Jared’s therapeutic approach is deeply person-centered and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. They integrate humanistic, feminist multicultural, and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) techniques into their practice, creating a supportive environment for healing and personal growth. With a warm, empathic, and collaborative approach, Jared strives to create an affirming space where clients can explore their identities and mental health with confidence and support.
