Jeffrey Vu

Dr. Jeffrey Vu is a board certified family nurse practitioner that currently serves as the Division Director of Clinical Services for Orange County Health Care Agency Public Health Services. In his role, he has operational oversight over county public health programs that address STD/HIV testing, care, & control; Pulmonary Disease & Tuberculosis; Family Planning & Child Health; Immunizations; Refugee Health Services; and HIV & Ryan White grant funding. Jeffrey also serves as the Clinical Program Director for the UC Irvine Health Gender Diversity Program addressing the gender health needs of adolescent and adult transgender individuals in Orange County and throughout California. Jeffrey received his Doctorate in Nursing Practice & Master in Business Administration from John Hopkins University and his Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner & Bachelors in Nursing from UC Irvine. He sits on the state board of directors for the California Association for Nurse Practitioners where he is focused on establishing full practice authority to allow NPs to practice at the full scope of their education and training. Jeffrey also serves on the UC Irvine School of Nursing Dean’s Cabinet where he is focused on student scholarship and alumni engagement. He is active in the UC Irvine Alumni Association and currently is on the board of directors for the Johns Hopkins Nursing Alumni Association. Jeffrey continues to serve as a nurse practitioner in the community with broad clinical experience in family practice, transgender health hormone therapy, occupational health, integrative functional medicine, and same-day care. His experience as a registered nurse included ICU, dialysis, and informatics. Jeffrey’s passion is to work with marginalized communities, has volunteered abroad on medical missions multiple times, and spends his summers volunteering for Camp Rising Above Disabilities (Camp RAD).
