Jenny Nguyen

I'm the American-born child of Vietnamese refugees. I understand the complex dynamic that entails i.e. culture clash, untreated mental health issues, & survivors guilt. I am a down-to-earth, compassionate therapist and excited to be part of your healing journey. I believe in keeping it real, I believe in hope when things feel hopeless, and I believe change is always possible. During our initial sessions we will explore what your goals are, focus on your strengths, resources, and examples of past success. We will work together to create a treatment plan and help you get your life back by teaching you coping skills, increasing distress tolerance, and foster a sense of hope. I am both an artist as well as a therapist and believe that combining expressive arts/experiential therapy with mental health treatment is a great way to engage clients and foster a sense of purpose/joy. Working collaboratively will allow us to create a treatment plan that has measurable and achievable goals.
