Jessica Bernacki
I provide evidence-based therapy to children, youth, and adults. My areas of specialization include therapy for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth and adults, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders and depression, and therapy for individuals and families coping with medical illness. I also love supporting parents with issues such as sleep, feeding, toileting, and behavior management. I work with my clients and their families in an individualized and collaborative manner. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of evidence-based strategies to help each client meet their goals, improve their functioning, and feel more resilient when challenges arise. In addition to my private practice, I am the Director of Behavioral Health for the UCLA Gender Health Program where I have worked with transgender and gender diverse folks of all ages since the program was founded in 2016. I have provided psychotherapy, interdisciplinary consultation, and teaching as part of this program and offer these services in my private practice as well. I have trained and worked as a pediatric psychologist helping youth and adults coping with chronic illnesses such as cancer, organ transplants, and diabetes for over 10 years. I have worked at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
