Jessica Rice
Jess is a late-diagnosed ADHDer and works in a neurodiverse-affirming manner with her clients. Her clinical focus is on providing anti-oppressive and trauma-responsive care to her clients, while honoring issues of and with power, privilege, marginalization, and oppression that may be present for her clients. She utilizes somatic-based and attachment-based therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and person-centered modalities when collaborating with clients. She strives to provide empowerment, and successfully navigate whatever difficulties or successes you may be experiencing in life. She predominately works with LGBTQ+ adults with presenting concerns of ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal issues. Jess is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor in the state of Maryland, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. She has a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and a Master's in Art Therapy Counseling, both from Emporia State University, and is working on her doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education, and Supervision at the George Washington University. Jess is a Master Practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®), is trained in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga from the Trauma Center, and has completed Phase I of Brainspotting. She has previous experience in working with incarcerated individuals and providing career counseling.
