Jiayi Shao
I’m a queer, bilingual psychotherapist (she/they) offering culturally attuned and trauma-informed therapy for youth and adults navigating complex inner and relational lives. My practice is gender affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodiversity affirming, and welcomes clients exploring identity, sexuality, and emotional patterns shaped by migration, marginalization, or family dynamics. I work relationally and somatically, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and mindfulness-based approaches. Many of my clients are deep feelers—sensitive, high-achieving, often stuck between roles, cultures, or desires—and come to therapy seeking more clarity, choice, and self-trust. Together, we create space for your full self to be seen, grounded, and supported.
