Jill Arndt
My approach to therapy is rooted in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT posits that humans are wired for connection, that our problems lie in patterns rather than in individual people, and that humans tend to succeed when given the appropriate love and care. I also incorporate existentialism into my work. Existentialism is a framework that helps us grapple with meaning in life. Struggling to make sense of our purpose in life can have a real impact on our well-being, so it’s important for us to tend to. Finally, I seek to offer a therapeutic space that’s rooted in anti-oppression. This lens recognizes that we are all impacted by powerful systems - but not always in the same way. Understanding the impact of these systems on us is important if we want to find liberation and connection.
