Joe Baker
Joe Baker, is an Army veteran who got his start in hearing healthcare helping soldiers avoid hearing loss from hazardous noise exposure. As you would imagine, this is a tall order in the military! He became a hearing aid specialist, working for an audiologist and ENT doctor after his military enlistment. While honing his clinical audiology skills there, he completed his education to become an audiologist at the University of Cincinnati. After graduation, Joe relocated to Seattle, then to Walnut Creek, California, before returning home to Ohio. Joe Baker is widely regarded by his peers and his patients as an expert in hearing healthcare. Joe specializes in preventing and treating hearing loss, and has a growing expertise in tinnitus evaluation and treatment. As an audiologist who suffers from tinnitus, he is continually improving his expertise to better help others dealing with bothersome ringing and buzzing sounds. With his breadth of experience, Joe is well-equipped to provide knowledgeable and effective care to his patients. Joe works with industries to manage their hearing conservation programs to prevent hearing loss for employees exposed to hazardous noise. Joe also teaches courses certifying occupational hearing conservation technicians for the Council on Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).
