John Paul Kelada
I have a confession. I am not an expert on transgender hormone therapy. I am not part of a big institution that specializes in the latest transgender hormone treatment. My reason for prescribing transgender hormone therapy is selfish: I enjoy doing it. I have found that transgender hormone therapy can be such a big part of patients lives, helping them feel more like they identify. I have seen how excited patients become to embark on therapy, improving symptoms of depression and outlook on life. It is an incredible journey to partake with patients, and I feel to be in such a privileged place to connect patients with this care! I am open to listening to patients, hearing from them and learning from them. I also have friends at big institutions that have been a great source of knowledge for myself and patients as I guide them with it. Who you decide to trust with this care is a big decision, and it is important you are heard. I encourage you to establish a relationship with someone who helps you feel comfortable, whether me or any other provider... I would be excited if I could be a part of it!
