John Snyder

I am a primary care provider at One Medical, and I have focused on delivering high quality, science-driven primary care services to DC’s LGBTQ+ community for over 10 years now. I enjoy balancing the rigors of evidence-based medicine with the art of compassionate listening. Communication and relationship-building is a priority for me, which empowers my patients to make well-informed decisions about their health with my support. I believe that the best health care is delivered when a provider and patient are full partners in care. As such, I strive to create a safe space for all of my patients so that we can work through any of their health care needs together. I am very experienced in PrEP prescribing, and I work to make STI screening/treatment as easy and barrier-free as possible for everyone. Providing supportive, gender-affirming care is also a priority for me. I pair my part-time work as a provider at One Medical with a role in public health for the Federal Government, where I lead a team of data scientists focused on advancing health equity for medically underserved populations and eliminating race-based and other health disparities.
