He earned a Master's of Public Health with a focus in Global Health from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, where he also went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. His main areas of focus include global health, travel medicine, preventative health, chronic disease management, pediatric care, reproductive health, and HIV prevention (PrEP). Dr. Stofer has been heavily involved in different community organizations such as the Global Health Initiative and Good Neighbor House. Dr. Stofer enjoys running, hiking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and getting involved in his local community. Dr. Stofer has a passion for refugee and underserved medicine. He is the founder/director of a medical NGO in Peru, called The Rural Amazonian Health Initiative that serves rural jungle communities with limited access to healthcare.
