Kamaria Beamon
I believe in the power of working with a therapist who truly understands your experiences. As a Black, queer, and neurodivergent woman, I've walked my own path of healing and use my personal and professional experience to help others do the same. Are your emotions sometimes feeling too intense to handle? Maybe past experiences are still affecting your daily life, or you're struggling with an eating disorder or self-harm to cope with strong feelings. Your struggles are valid, and healing is possible. I understand the unique challenges faced by BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, and neurodivergent people, and I am here to support you. I provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents (age 13+) and parent-child family therapy sessions. You'll find a safe, judgment-free space to be yourself in our work together. With me, healing blends evidence-based techniques with personal and professional insight. To truly address and heal from trauma, it’s important to understand how your emotions, experience, and body interact. This is why I incorporate psychoeducation about how all of these things work. In individual therapy, we'll work at your pace to develop practical coping strategies while addressing the deeper roots of your challenges through both cognitive and somatic techniques. I offer family therapy to help parents and teens navigate conflict and communication challenges. Whether your teen is struggling with behavior issues, healing from an eating disorder, or exploring their identity, my approach helps families process trauma and build healthier connections. You don’t have to face this alone—let’s work toward healing together.
