Kenyatta Cole
I work with individuals ages 11 and up, couples, and families. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, attachment challenges, family and relationship conflict, life transitions, mood and personality concerns, self-harm, as well as exploration of gender, sexual, and racial identity. I am committed to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including LGBTQ+ clients. My approach is integrative and client-centered, blending Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. For couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to strengthen emotional connection and promote secure attachment. During the first session, we typically focus on getting to know each other, understanding your goals for therapy, and exploring what support will be most helpful for you. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can express yourself authentically, explore challenges, and develop coping strategies tailored to your unique experiences. I view therapy as a tool for growth and resilience that can be used in both difficult and positive times, and I prioritize building an authentic, collaborative relationship with each client.
